Lately the best spot of Anglet – if you’re looking for barrels – right in front of the Anglet Surf Club so groms and locals are definitely on it and they know how to surf it. The 2015 Anglet Pro crowned its winners here as it’s pretty consistent too. Not the easiest wave, it’s fast and hollow and breaks close to the shore so it’s better to stay away if you don’t have what it takes. As a lot of Anglets spots, it’s between two jetties that help you get out, shape the sand and filter the swell. The result can be rewarding. © Laurent Masurel
