This Hossegor surfspot is were the magic happens. Deeper water powers the waves up to hit the shore hard. Or your head or your board… In that process there is joy to find: barrels! Hossegor thanks his worldwide known name at this fickle wild beast that the pros tame every year during a leg of the world championship tour. In 2014 the surf spot didn’t do the job but it came back with a blast and the thickest lips. Check the clip of may 2016 below to see proof. It often closes out and the ideal conditions are not on offer everyday. The right tide and wave period decide if it’s on or off.
