You can see the green oasis of the Erretegia surf spot in Bidart from the national road following the coast, it’s a beautiful bay with hardly any buildings to spot, a rarity at the densely built Bask Country coast. It’s like a fun beachbreak but one with some rocks too, so watch out. It’s surf school friendly, so easy and mostly mellow but the occasional barrel is spotted too. There is a parking but there’s still a little walk to do to get to the beach. © Laurent Masurel
