Cenitz is another bay full of Basque scenery and it has three waves next to eachother on offer. On the southside there is an easy and very mellow left favouring beginners and longboarders, in the middle a fun a-frame and to the north a right on a rocky underground which demands a higher level of surfing. They all work only on high tide when the whole reef is covered with water and that’s a rarity in the region so it attracts a lot of surfers. If the tide drops the rocks start to pop up and if you don’t know the spot well you might hit them. It picks up the swell better than the other reefs around but it’s maxing out more quickly. © Laurent Masurel
