The Wave Project is the UK’s leading Surf Therapy charity, born in Cornwall and annually supporting 2,500 children and young people across the country. The Wave Project uses surfing, community and the ocean (and other blue spaces) as a tool to improve young people’s mental health, build confidence and reduce isolation.
Their Surf Therapy sessions offer a safe, supportive environment where young people can be themselves, make friends and feel a sense of belonging, often for the first time in their lives. Referrals come through schools, GPs, CAMHS teams and social workers, helping young people who are struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem or emotional difficulties.
