The biggest natural beach in Tenerife also hosts its main kitesurfing spot for all levels. With northeast wind, the regular one, it´s a bit choppy, and usually very small waves, although they´re a bit bigger on the right side of the beach. Southwest wind is very gusty and side offshore, so better move to La Tejita where it arrives onshore. You share the beach with windsurfers and surfers, so be careful. Windsurfers usually sail in front of Flashpoint (10), leaving the downwind beach for kiters. Right in front of the hotel and the parking is where the schools give courses. The freestyle zone is more towards the red mountain. Schools are not amused if you do monster jumps close to the beginner beach. Also launching place for people who want to go wavesailing at the harbour wall (muelle).
